AI Misinformation Training for PR Teams | Prohibition PR

AI Misinformation Training for PR and Marketing Leaders

In an age where AI-generated content can distort reality within moments, no organisation is immune to the risks of misinformation. A single deepfake or fabricated post can undo years of trust and credibility, spreading faster than your team can respond. Safeguarding your reputation now means understanding how misinformation takes hold, how it moves, and how to act swiftly before it shapes your story.

This intensive one-day workshop gives communications, PR, and brand teams the practical tools to identify, manage, and neutralise AI-driven misinformation before it escalates. Led by crisis management specialists Chris Norton and Will Ockenden, the session blends real brand case studies with proven frameworks trusted by leading UK and global organisations to protect their reputation in the digital age.

Why is it needed?

“Traffic loss leads to pipeline loss and ultimately impacts revenue. If you’re not cited and you’ve relied on other sources for traffic, then these are the businesses that you are going to suffer quite heavily and they’re going to need to invest very, very soon.” -Chris Norton, Prohibition PR

We Focus on ROI

Our team of PR trainers fully recognize that a return on investment is now critical if you want to obtain more support for your PR strategy to move forward.
We take ROI into account in the building of our lessons and guarantee that everything we do is intended to be data-driven and insight-driven first so that you can first report on the most appropriate KPIs and metrics and then provide some explanation of what your investment in PR has returned.

We are Strategic

We are focused on being as strategic as possible with our PR courses. To help ensure that you and your team get the most out of it, we always provide a pre-training questionnaire to clarify what the participants most want to see from the course. We then review these objectives during the course of the training to ensure that participants receive the maximum benefit from the day.

We Offer Authentic PR Expertise

You can be confident that you are in good hands, as our team has won more than 30 awards over the last five years for delivering excellent integrated PR campaigns. We are widely known as being among the best-integrated PR, content marketing and social media agencies in the North of England.

We speak your language and deliver actionable learning

Because our team is composed of award-winning PR professionals, we understand the small details you need to know to stand out from the crowd. Our training delivers straight talking actionable learning that you can take back to your company to put into practice from day one.

We Offer Post-course Support

For each training course we deliver, we give four weeks of post-course assistance where any attendee can call our team in the office to ask for assistance, guidance or particular questions about the content of the course. Our trainers will be more than happy to advise and help ensure that you put your new workable learning into practice in your day-to-day work.

Our Classes are Interactive

The best way to learn is by doing, so we ensure each training session has several breakout sessions to help participants put what they’ve learnt into practice.

Questions we get asked

What is AI misinformation training?

A private session for communications and marketing teams on how false or fabricated claims about your organisation spread through AI tools and social platforms, how to verify what you are seeing, and what to do in the first few hours when something wrong starts circulating.

Who should attend?

Communications and PR leads, social media managers, customer service leads and anyone who would be in the room during an incident. It works best with the people who would actually be making the decisions rather than passing it up.

Is this the same as crisis communications training?

It overlaps but it is narrower. Crisis training covers incidents you caused. This covers claims that are wrong, invented or AI generated, where the first job is establishing what is actually true before you say anything.

What can we do if an AI tool states something false about us?

There is no delete button. The practical route is correcting the sources the models draw on, which means your own pages, third party coverage and the places that already rank, then monitoring so you notice early. We teach the process rather than promise a fix.

How do you verify whether an image or video is genuine?

Reverse image search, provenance and metadata checks, cross referencing against primary sources, and the tell-tale signs in generated media. We run these on real examples during the day rather than in theory.

How much does it cost?

A half day is £1,200 and a full day is £1,800, both for up to six people and both excluding VAT. Each extra person is £250.
