Best PR Agency - Prohibition

Last week, my little old PR agency Prohibition was lucky enough to scoop eight awards at the CIPR Pride Awards Yorkshire & Lincolnshire.

To win a record-breaking eight industry awards with your peers and several agencies that you respect in attendance was a truly amazing experience and I want to say a huge thank you to all of my team who really do work hard and do the nitty-gritty.

PR Agency Awards

We won outstanding PR consultancy 2019-20 which is the big one and we won Best use of social media, we won the Best-integrated PR campaign and we even won the best use of influencer relations along with many more.

In 2018 we didn’t enter any industry awards at Pride because we decided, as a senior team, to have a year off because we had won the Outstanding PR Consultancy of the Year 2017 and we didn’t want to lessen that big win.

However, this year we decided to enter again, to try and stamp our authority on the industry, and I was delighted this little team managed to get some awards because they have worked tirelessly in 2019  for our clients.

The Best PR team

I’ve got such a talented bunch of individuals here and the Pride Awards are one of the only two or three times a year where you get the chance to sit back and celebrate all of the great work that you have done.

A Record Year in 2019

So it looks like 2020 could be our biggest year ever. 2019 has been a record year for us in terms of turnover and profit, but more importantly, it’s also been a standout year where we seem to have grown in maturity and found our focus on what we going to do for the next 10 years.

Leeds PR companies are still going strong

I want to thank my team and our clients for giving us the opportunity to do excellent award-winning work. This industry that we work in is brilliant, and we don’t often look at Yorkshire and sit back and be proud, but actually Yorkshire’s got a thriving PR industry in 2019 despite what many people may tell you. Sure Manchester is possibly the biggest PR and comms centre in the north of the UK, but Leeds is a pretty close number two and I’m delighted that Leeds and the Yorkshire region are doing so well. There is nothing wrong with healthy competition. We’ve got some brilliant agencies in this city and although we are in competition, we hardly pitch against some of the agencies that go to these events, so I see it as a friendly rivalry that we should embrace.

So well done to all of the Yorkshire PR Agencies that won and I hope to see you again next year.
