FOOTBALL FREESTYLER TAKES ON EVEREST ‘KEEPY UPPY’ CHALLENGE FOR CHARITY

I was approached about six months ago by Football Freestyler and TV presenter, John Farnworth to help him with a charity campaign as a favour. John is a truly lovely bloke and he is aiming to add a ninth Guinness World Record to his list by reaching Mount Everest Base Camp – while doing “keep-me-ups”, as part of his next charity challenge which is all for a great cause which is close to his heart. I have known John through a mutual friend for about a year now and his footballing skills really do know no-bounds – in short he ... Read more

Leeds and Yorkshire PR Agencies to battle in charity pub quiz

Yes unbelievably it’s that time again and it’s hard to believe that it’s been almost a year, but somehow I have managed to organise our annual charity CIPR Pub Quiz, in the memory of my old friend and former YEP journalist Nigel Scott. Twitter application – donate your characters for charity

Every time a user tweets during the time period, the application will autofill any unused Twitter characters with messages that help  spread the word about their ... Read more

Football manager 2011 launches its campaign with new charity innovation

A friend of mine dropped me a note about this new campaign yesterday and I thought it was worth discussing on the blog. JustGiving, the UK’s largest online fundraising platform, and the international children’s charity War Child have teamed up with Sports Interactive and SEGA’s ‘Football Manager™’ in a cause-related marketing partnership launched this week. Football Manager 2011, which is amazingly now in its sixth series, will include the charity’s’ banners on the virtual advertising boards alongside the pitch, which when clicked, will actually allow users to make donations to War Child through the JustGiving website. I have seen advertising ... Read more
