Prohibition PR’s Video Showreel

This is the standard case of the cobbler’s shoes, we shoot hundreds of videos every month but we don’t do enough for ourselves so here is a highlight clip of some of the videos we have done in the last twelve months.

Video – Prohibition Show Reel of 2018

The last twelve months at Prohibition have been particularly busy, with the team delivering some truly stunning work, much of which we will be sharing this Christmas but we felt we weren’t really sharing a lot of the content we were producing. So we wanted to create a short sharp piece of blatant self-promotion that would bring our busy year to life. This short clip hopefully does that – well-done team, there are some great campaigns in here and you should all be very proud.

My name is Chris Norton, I am the founder and managing director of Prolific North’s small PR Agency of the year Prohibition and have been blogging about PR, technology and social media marketing ... Meadowhall Sharing The Valentine’s Love (video)

Here is a nice little campaign we have been helping with recently. The campaign is all about spreading the love in order to get people to celebrate Valentines Day over at Meadowhall in Sheffield. This campaign is a nice touchy feely one as most Valentines campaigns are. It involved a strong media partnership with a radio station and a live stunt that took place over Valentines weekend.

Dear Facebook your customer service for social media agencies sucks!

We all know Facebook is the behemoth of the social media world, our clients have to use it, and now it’s gone pay to play, we all have to spend our budgets to use it to get some kind of decent reach, unless you are in the camp that says it’s time to ignore the platform altogether. So with that in mind you would think that Facebook would have a killer customer service team that would be agile, friendly, adaptable and helpful to get you to spend your money in the correct areas right? WRONG! Firstly, try finding their phone ... Read more

Prohibition Gets Shortlisted in the Top 50 PR Agencies

Well I think it’s fair to say that I have had a busy few months, and in fact, the last twelve seem to have been the busiest in my entire career. My PR Agency Prohibition has thankfully been winning new clients hand over fist and this week our work was recognised externally, on a regional level, after we were included in the North’s Top 50 PR Agencies.  The list which is released every year, albeit for a bit of link bait, ranks each PR agency according to its financial information taken from Companies House and also from supplementary information from ... PR Interviews: Arik Hanson – 20:20 Vision

Over the next few months I will be interviewing practitioners from the world of public relations and digital marketing from across the globe, people I respect and look up to. I have decided to call this series 20:20 Vision. The concept of this is that I ask these practitioners 20 questions about themselves and they give us a glimpse into their working lives and what makes them tick. Most of the people I speak with will have an interest in digital, online or modern public relations strategy. My first interview is with Arik C. Hanson from Minnesota who is the ... Read more

Are we seeing the slow painful death of Google Alerts?

Over the last couple of months I have been really busy giving my usual lectures to my lovely PR and Journalism students at Leeds Beckett University and one of the presentations I have crafted is on the Future of Social Media listening which covers the issues and different elements modern PR practitioners need to consider when listening and identifying important issues online. I won’t bore you with the full details but I cover a wide variety of elements in the seminar including the beautiful graphical Enterprise solutions right down to the free monitoring tools and let’s face it no free ... A campaign to celebrate the fine work of mums everywhere

I know I have been rather quiet recently and the last two months have been rather busy at Prohibition HQ if I am honest. We have had a stellar record year won several new accounts, hired a number of talented  new recruits and taken on some exciting a projects. One of those included was for the high street brand Interflora and we named it Verses for my Valentine, in this campaign we asked people when was the last time they received a love letter – it turned out that almost half of people never have. We wanted to encourage people to ... Read more
