With George Osborne’s latest budget announcement expected on Wednesday, there are a lot of rumours flying around, one of which will be a reduction or removal of Entrepreneur’s Relief, and there has been a lot of rhetoric about the Government’s Northern Powerhouse initiative. To celebrate the Prohibition team being shortlisted for the CIPR’s Outstanding Consultancy award we decided to take the team out for a fancy burger and a drink or two. We were looking for somewhere local in Leeds that was a little bit different and decided to pay a visit to the new Almost Famous in Leeds. I posted a while ago about a quiz I was organising to help raise money for a couple of charities. Well last night all the magic came together and we held the quiz at The Cosmopolitan Hotel in Leeds. It was held in the memory of the former business editor of the Yorkshire Evening Post Nigel Scott. As I sure many of you know I am the social media coordinator for the CIPR in the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire region. As a regional committee we get involved in organising lots of corporate events and training but on the whole we don’t organise many fun networking events.
