Chris Lake: ‘If you knew’ video in HD

Here is a high resolution version of Chris Lake’s (a former client) latest single ‘If you knew’. I am predicting this track to be the biggest of his most recent dance tunes, I reckon it is going to make the difficult crossover into the mainstream charts – so it could be one to watch. Chris is a strong believer in social media and his team use it correctly and now it seems to be paying dividends . The video is in HD using Vimeo and was filmed in my own region of Yorkshire. Keep up the good work guys – ... Read more

Leeds PR Agency wins the national award for Outstanding Small Consultancy of the Year

Warning – this is a self promotional post! I took a call yesterday out of the blue from a lady at the CIPR who called to inform us that we had won the overall national Grand Prix Award for our category. To be honest I was a little shocked but also truly delighted. I won’t lie to you, blood, sweat and tears (well almost) went into our first ever award submission and we only entered the regional awards because Wolfstar had only been going for a short period and we didn’t have enough time to enter any others. The official ... Read more

Are we seeing the death of email?

Have our inboxes grown too quickly? Is email passé? Are terms such as ‘Facebook me’ about to become the norm and kill email entirely? I read an interesting article by Erik Qualman this morning about Generation Z no longer using email and using social networks instead. Erik writes: “Just as people use Google as a verb — Google it — they’re starting to use phrases like “Facebook Me.” People are no longer exchanging e-mails; they’re exchanging social media information. In many instances, they will never get this e-mail address. If they desire this type of communication, the social networks have ... Read more

PR echo chamber – five reasons why you should blog!

I have noticed recently that more and more PR professionals are looking for ways to get into digital communications. I met up with an in-house PRO yesterday who told me his team has finally started using Twitter. Many PROs believe that a PR blog is just part of an echo chamber and is only ever going to get read/noticed by other PR people. Many suggest that we do it to pat ourselves on the back and congratulate each other on how successful we are. I am not sure I agree with this – that’s not why I do it. A ... Read more

Another clever viral from Disney

Viral videos have got to have something intrinsically clever, entertaining or interesting to make them go viral in the first place. Following in a similar vain to the recent US election viral that I shared, here is another really clever example which focuses on Disney renaming its park for one special day.

Are creative people really full of juice?

Stephen Waddington has posted a brilliant viral video on his blog this morning which I thought had to be shared as it made me laugh. A viral agency called Rubber Republic has made the video below demonstrating the South West’s capabilities in being creative. I think it’s a really clever idea which has been brilliantly executed. See what you think.

Working from home Vs the office?

This morning I woke up to a beautiful white covering of snow – between two to three inches – see my back garden below. When I took a quick look at the surrounding roads I found a van stuck fast and several cars backed up and sliding all over the place. I took the decision to work from home rather than spend two hours in the car getting frustrated. Yesterday, I was also working from home, writing a new business proposal and I seriously believe I couldn’t have got it completed if I had been in the office. All of ... Read more
