PR Stunt of the Month – Shutterstock Fyre Festival Video

OK, I will admit it I am a little late to the party on this one but my colleague found this video and shared it with my team and it actually made me laugh, so I thought it was worth sharing on the blog. If you haven’t watched the rather shocking documentary on Netflix about Fyre Festival, where the hell have you been? The documentary gave me both anxiety and a strange sense of relief that we could never do anything as bad as that. I honestly couldn’t believe anyone would dare to act as reckless as the founder of ... Read more

Viral Campaigns and PR Stunts: The Nivea Stress Test

I found this campaign from Nivea in Germany on a blog that I read and I have to say I love it. I imagine it cost quite a large amount of money but the execution is brilliant. PR Stunt – Push the button to add drama

Have a look at the video below and see what you think. Do you think we could have go it signed off over here? It’s a brilliant execution with a very high risk strategy ... Read more

United breaks guitars – video shows the power of social media

The musician Dave Carroll was taking a trip to Nebraska when he and his band members noticed that their guitars were being broken outside. After complaining to the culprits (United Airlines staff) and getting nowhere he decided to write a song which I have to admit is pretty catchy. It turns out that the song is so catchy that 3.7million people have now watched his video and it has propelled him to a new level of stardom. In fact, the track is in the top 20 in Canada. It just goes to show what a good idea, some humour and ... Read more

Another clever viral from Disney

Viral videos have got to have something intrinsically clever, entertaining or interesting to make them go viral in the first place. Following in a similar vain to the recent US election viral that I shared, here is another really clever example which focuses on Disney renaming its park for one special day.
