Christian Bale uses social media by accident

Hollywood actor Christian Bale used social media to its maximum potential yesterday, purely by accident, after losing his cool on the set of the new Terminator film. I (along with millions of others) was shocked by the sheer anger in the man’s voice but also amused by the variety of accents he slides through during the 3.5 minute tirade. The rant is in full below – nicely fused with scenes from American Psycho in case you missed it. Following the now infamous rant, another talented individual decided (amusingly) to remix his rant to a dance track and this has now ... Read more

Amusing viral: New Apple Wheel MacBook – with no Keyboard!

Here is another entertaining viral, which has been created by The Onion an online satirical newspaper. The clip is basically about Apple launching the Apple Wheel MacBook a brilliant invention that replaces the keyboard making emails take only 45 mins each. My favourite comments from this video are: “Everything is just a few hundred clicks away!” “It remains to be seen if the wheel will catch on in the business world where people use computers for actual work and not just dicking around.”

A brilliant spy gadget and becoming an international man of mystery

I know what you’re thinking – why the title? Well, two reasons firstly because its tenuously linked to James Bond – I realise it’s really Austin Powers and extremely sad – and secondly because of the gadget which I had to write about as it made me both laugh and cry at the same time. I will start with the gadget. If you take a look at the picture to the right it looks like a normal usual radio alarm clock right – Err WRONG. This is a radio alarm clock with a difference. This one has a built in ... Read more

HD DVD about to die a death

As predicted it seems Toshiba is about to throw in the towel with its HD DVD format. The BBC article reads: “”There have been media reports that Toshiba will discontinue its HD DVD business,” a Toshiba spokesman said. “In fact, Toshiba has not made any announcement or decision. We are currently assessing our business strategies, but nothing has been decided at the moment.” Last month, Warner Brothers became the fifth Hollywood studio to throw its weight behind Sony’s Blu-ray format, leaving just Universal Pictures and Paramount Pictures favouring HD DVD.   Analysts had seen this decision to switch allegiances as ... Blu-Ray dominates and begins to look like VHS

A while ago I wrote on my blog that I felt Sony had got it right with Blu-Ray and they would win the battle of the two high definition DVD formats. Well as the battle has hotted up, it now appears that Blu-Ray really is beginning to dominate. According to reports Best Buy, which is the largest consumer electronics chain in the US, has stated it will not recommend HD DVD to its customers. It will still stock the HD DVD format but it will be given much less prominence. Best Buy’s president and chief operating officer Brian Dunn said: ... Read more

Cloverfield – hit or a miss???

Well after hearing a rave review from Chris Moyles and comedy Dave on  Radio 1 last week, I  decided to buy myself two tickets and venture out into the cold February night with my wife to watch the new Cloverfield movie – which started on Friday. You can watch the trailer first by clicking here. I was pretty excited as I like a good blockbuster disaster movie but I didn’t know anything about the plot or how the disaster materialised. If you are going to watch it and don’t want to know the plot line I would stop reading now. ... Read more

Penguin and MySpace search for new James bond theme

Bond fans are getting the chance to become part of 007 history by getting the opportunity to write the music to the new Bond movie. Unfortunately, I think my musical talent doesn’t stretch this far but I am sure there will be a lot of people out there who would be interested. I am a huge bond fan and would love to be associated with anything bond related. Penguinannounced its search for the theme tune to Devil May Care, the eagerly awaited new Bond novel, written by Sebastian Faulks. Visitors to uk.myspace.com/devilmaycarebookall have the chance to create an original piece ... Read more
